From Canyon de Chelly National Monument:

Canyon de Chelly National Monument is located in the center of the Navajo Nation in Northeast Arizona. The Navajo Nation is the largest reservation in the United States encompassing 27,000 square miles of land in Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah. Traditional homelands of the Navajo are bounded by four sacred mountains, and Canyon de Chelly is considered the heart of Navajoland by many, and it was the last strong hold for the Dine/Navajo people during the war with the United States Military in the 1860s.

Today, Navajoland is still home to more than 300,000 Navajo People, and the landscape is some of the most beautiful areas of the Southwest.

If You Don't Like The Weather, Just Wait A Minute And It Will Change

From U.S. Department of the Interior:

One thing that Josh Packer loves about the Tetons is how quickly the weather can change. An hour before sunset, it was pouring rain and was windy as could be, but then the sun came out and created this beautiful scene at Grand Teton National Park’s Schwabacher Landing in Wyoming. Conservation Career Symposium

From USFWS Pacific Region:

Going out on a limb: Recruitment Specialist, Brian Lawler, branched outside of his normal duties to plant Ōhi‘a trees. Leading a group of students from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Brian and his team hosted a conservation career symposium at the Hakalau Forest National Wildlife Refuge. Students learned about careers with the Fish and Wildlife Service and did hands-on restoration work to protect this imperilled tree. Since 1989, over 500,000 koa, ‘ōhi‘a, and other native plants have been planted as part of the refuge’s reforestation program!

Algae at Meyers Beach Sea Caves

From Apostle Islands National Lakeshore:

For now, avoid drinking the water by the caves at Meyers Beach. Look at the microscope photo to see the algae found at the Meyers Beach Sea Caves bowl area yesterday--it IS a potential toxin producer. If the conditions are right, certain species of blue-green algae can bloom in Lake Superior waters. NPS collaborators will be completing a full analysis of the sample and we will publish updates. If enjoying the sea caves area, please share additional observations and photos with ranger staff. (pjc)
