Dwarf Galaxy

From NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration:

This cosmic neighbor, located around 44 million light-years from us, is a relatively bulky example of a dwarf galaxy. Seen by the Hubble Space Telescope, this loosely-bound spiral galaxy is a perfect target for astronomers to study the puzzling aspects of dwarf galaxies. Find out more:http://go.nasa.gov/2fAWe1t

“Starburst” Galaxy IC 10

From NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration:

Discovered more than 100 years ago, this glowing nebula is a small galaxy about 2.2 billion light years from Earth. Known as the “starburst” galaxy IC 10, referring to the intense star formation activity occurring there, this galaxy is home to over a dozen black holes and neutron stars feeding off gas from young, massive stellar companions. Saturn's Moon Pan

From NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration:

Space ravioli? No, it's Saturn's moon Pan, spotted by NASA's Cassini Mission to Saturn from a distance of 15,268 miles, or 24,572 kilometers. These images are the closest images ever taken of Pan and will help to characterize its shape and geology. See more raw images:http://go.nasa.gov/2nkk1kQ

Ring of Fire

From NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration:

Today, a “ring of fire” will be visible in the sky above parts of the Southern Hemisphere, including Chile, Argentina and Angola. This is called an annular eclipse. Get details: http://nasa.tumblr.com/post/157663473764/a-ring-of-fire-eclipse-in-the-southern-hemisphere

Saturn's F Ring

From NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration:

When seen up close, Saturn’s F ring resolves into multiple dusty strands. This Cassini spacecraft view shows the three bright strands and a very faint fourth strand off to the right. Take a closer look:http://go.nasa.gov/2kKpe4z

Daphnis

From NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration:

Daphnis, one of Saturn’s ring-embedded moons, is seen kicking up waves as it orbits within a gap in the rings. While this moon is only 5 miles across, its gravity is powerful enough to disrupt the tiny particles of Saturn's A ring. Find out more:http://go.nasa.gov/2kHJi7M

Penumbral Eclipse

From NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration:

The moon may look a tad darker than usual tonight as it passes through Earth’s outer shadow, also known as a penumbral eclipse. For most of North America, the penumbral eclipse will begin at moonrise. Get the details: http://nasa.tumblr.com/post/157061320334/subtle-lunar-eclipse

Kilauea Volcano

From NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration:

A spectacular displays of nature, Kilauea Volcano on the island of Hawaii is one of Earth’s most active volcanoes. This month, we're exploring Kilauea and the adjacent volcano Mauna Loa from the air, ground and space. Our goal: to better understand volcanic processes and hazards. A future mission to land a robotic probe on Jupiter's icy moon Europa

From NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration:

A future mission to land a robotic probe on Jupiter's icy moon Europa may be in the cards. Our report on the potential science value of such a mission seeks to engage the broader science community on the merits of such a quest. The primary goal is to search for evidence of life.
