TODAY: EMBARGOED Press Call with EPA Deputy Administrator Janet McCabe, Senator Carper, and Mayor Frey on Biden-Harris Administration’s Latest Investments in Recycling Infrastructure
DALLAS, TEXAS (September 12, 2023) – Today, September 12, at 4:30 PM ET, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Deputy Administrator Janet McCabe will hold an on-the-record, embargoed press briefing to announce the Biden-Harris Administration’s latest efforts to update and expand recycling infrastructure in communities across the country. The Deputy Administrator will be joined by U.S. Senator Tom Carper (DE) and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey.
President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law provides EPA $275 million total between 2022 and 2026 for grants authorized under the Save Our Seas 2.0 Act - the largest investment in recycling in 30 years.
Deputy Administrator McCabe will be available for questions following remarks.
