DHS Reveals Suspects Connected to Explosive Device at MacDill Air Force Base Are Children of Illegal Aliens

Case highlights grave danger of granting birthright citizenship to children of illegal aliens

WASHINGTON – Today, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested the illegal alien parents of Ann Mary Zheng and Alen Zheng, two siblings who are connected to the attempted attack on the MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida on March 10.

According to the Department of Justice, Ann Mary Zheng was charged “with assisting after the fact related to her brother, Alen Zheng, placing an improvised explosive device at the MacDill Air Force Base Visitor’s Center in Tampa and evidence tampering.”  The DOJ added that “Ann Mary Zheng, knowing that her brother, Alen Zheng, had attempted to damage government property by fire or explosion, assisted him in order to hinder and prevent his apprehension, trial, and punishment.”

The alleged perpetrators of this attack on a U.S. Air Force base were born in the U.S. after their parents illegally entered the country. The attempted attack illustrates why the improper recognition of “birthright citizenship” for children of illegal aliens is not only inconsistent with the Constitution, but endangers all Americans.

“Automatically granting citizenship to children of illegal aliens born in the U.S. is based on a historically inaccurate interpretation of the Citizenship Clause and poses a major national security risk. That reality became apparent last week when two U.S.-born children of Chinese illegal aliens were indicted for planting a potentially deadly explosive device outside MacDill Air Force Base in Florida,” said Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis. “This incident underscores the severe national security threat that illegal immigration and birth right citizenship pose to the United States.”

Ann Mary Zheng was arrested by federal authorities upon her return from China. Authorities believe her brother Alen Zheng is still in China.

In wake of the investigation, on March 18, ICE apprehended both parents, who remain in ICE custody. The parents, Qiu Qin Zou and Jia Zhang Zheng, illegally entered the U.S. at an unknown place.

China2.2

Qiu Qin Zou

In 1993, they both applied for asylum, but an immigration judge denied those claims and ordered both Zheng and Zou removed from the U.S. in 1998. The Bureau of Immigration Appeals denied multiple attempts by the pair to have their case reopened, but they illegally remained in the U.S. for decades despite being ordered removed almost 30 years ago.

China3.2

On day one in office, President Donald J. Trump issued an executive order, titled, “Protecting the Meaning and Value of Citizenship.” President Trump added, “The privilege of United States citizenship is a priceless and profound gift.” And yet, that sacred honor has been abused because previous—and incorrect—interpretation of the law has allowed birthright citizenship—meant for children of slaves after the Civil War—to be granted to any child of an illegal alien. That executive order is now being challenged in the Supreme Court.

Under President Trump and DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin, DHS will continue to ensure that our entire immigration system—legal and illegal—puts the American people first.

Meet One of the Media’s ‘Non-Criminals’: ICE Law Enforcement Arrests Illegal Alien MS-13 Gang Member in Connecticut Wanted for Murder in His Home Country

This criminal is an example of what the media categorize as “non-criminal” illegal aliens because they lack a rap sheet in the U.S.

WASHINGTON – Today, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested Danny Granados-Garcia, a violent criminal illegal alien MS-13 gangbanger from El Salvador, who is wanted in his home country for murdering a pastor.

Danny Granados-Garcia

On May 6, 2016, United States Border Patrol apprehended Danny Granados-Garcia as he attempted to illegally enter the country as an unaccompanied minor near the Rio Grande Valley, Texas Border Patrol Sector. He was released into the U.S. under the Obama Administration.

El Salvadorian authorities previously issued an arrest warrant for this criminal for his involvement in MS-13 who allegedly murdered a pastor.

“Thanks to ICE this MS-13 gang member wanted for murdering a pastor in his home country is off Connecticut streets. This is an example of an arrest the media counts as a ‘non-criminal’ because he lacks a rap sheet in the United States. This is an insane categorization and just one example of the countless ‘non-criminals’ who are public safety threats that ICE is removing from our communities every single day,” said Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis. “70% of ICE arrests are of illegal aliens convicted or charged with a crime in the U.S. ”

ICE tracked arrested Granados-Garcia during a targeted field operation in Waterbury, Connecticut on March 10.

He will remain in ICE custody until he is deported.

“This is yet another tragic reminder of why illegal aliens should not be driving cars on America’s roads,” said Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis“A 17-year-old woman and her unborn child are now dead as a result of this illegal alien’s reckless actions. We have lodged an arrest detainer with Ohio authorities to ensure this illegal alien is never released and allowed back behind the wheel to put more innocent lives at risk.”

Singh entered the country illegally in February 2017 through the southern border in California and was arrested before being ordered released by a judge on bond.

ICE Asks Governor Spanberger and Fairfax Sanctuary Politicians to Not Release Criminal Illegal Alien Who Stabbed Man to Death in Fairfax

This incident comes just one month after Stephanie Minter was stabbed to death by another criminal illegal alien at a bus stop in Fredericksburg

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) today announced U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) lodged an arrest detainer requesting Fairfax County sanctuary politicians not to release Anibal Armando Chavarria Muy—a criminal illegal alien from Guatemala—who Fairfax County Police Department arrested on second degree murder charges in Fairfax County, Virginia.

On March 30, 2026, detectives arrested Chavarria Muy in connection to a fatal stabbing of a man the day prior. According to local reports, officers found a man with multiple stab wounds inside a home in Bailey’s Crossroads, Virginia. The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anibal Armando Chavarria Muy

Chavarria Muy is illegally in the U.S. and entered at an unknown place and time.

Anibal Armando Chavarria Muy, a criminal illegal alien from Guatemala, was charged with second degree murder after repeatedly stabbing a man to death in Fairfax County. ICE is calling on Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger and Virginia's sanctuary politicians to not release this murderer back into our communities,” said Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis“This incident comes just one month after an innocent woman was murdered by another criminal illegal alien at a bus stop in Spanberger’s state. Open-border policies yet again have caused another preventable tragedy.”

This incident comes one month after another tragedy where ICE lodged a detainer requesting that Virginia not release a career criminal illegal alien with more than 30 arrests who was charged for fatally stabbing a woman in the neck at a bus stop in Fredericksburg.

Fairfax County has a history of refusing to honor immigration detainers. In late 2025, a criminal illegal alien from El Salvador killed a man just a day after a Fairfax County jail failed to honor an immigration detainer ICE had placed on him.

Governor Spanberger signed an executive order that prohibits local and state law enforcement from working with ICE. The executive order repeals the prior order from her Republican predecessor, Governor Glenn Youngkin, which allowed local and state law enforcement to work with ICE.

Anti-ICE Agitator Doxxes ICE Officer in North Carolina

The doxxing attempt comes at a time that ICE officers are facing an increase in assaults, vehicular attacks, and death threats

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) today released the following statement regarding U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after an anti-ICE agitator doxxed an ICE law enforcement officer.

On March 23, ICE received a report about a postcard being mailed to ICE officers neighbors that read “Beware! Your neighbor is an ICE agent” with a photo of a neighboring ICE officer’s face in an attempt to doxx him.

ICE Doxx 1

Our law enforcement officers are now facing an 8,000% increase in death threats against them and a more than 1,300% increase in assaults against them while they put their lives on the line to remove public safety threats from American neighborhoods.

“Our ICE law enforcement officers are now facing an 8,000% increase in death threats against them and a more than 1,300% increase in assaults against them while they risk their lives every single day to remove murderers, pedophiles, rapists, terrorists, and gang members from American neighborhoods,” said Acting Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis. “Comparing ICE day-in and day-out to the Nazi Gestapo, the Secret Police, and slave patrols has consequences. The men and women of ICE are fathers and mothers, sons and daughters. They get up every morning to try and make our communities safer. Like everyone else, they just want to go home to their families at night. The violence and dehumanization of these men and women who are simply enforcing the law must stop.”

The public can report doxing and harassment against ICE officers by calling 866-DHS-2-ICE (866-347-2423) or by completing ICE’s online tip form.
