DHS Career Expo in New York Draws More than 1,100 Attendees WASHINGTON – The United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) released the following statement after hosting a successful career expo in Buffalo, New York that drew more than 1,100 attendees. The DHS Career Expo took place from September 1 to September 2 at the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Eastern Great Lakes in Buffalo, New York.  Over the course of those two days, 1,112 candidates were in attendance and more than 500 interviews were hosted. In addition, more than 600 applications were received and more than 600 tentative job offers/tentative selection letters were issued. “The DHS Career Expo in Buffalo, New York was a tremendous success. With more than 1,100 attendees and more than 500 interviews hosted, DHS received more than 600 applications and issued more than 600 tentative job offers,” said a DHS Spokesperson. “This success proves that Americans are answering the call to help protect the homeland by removing illegal aliens, terrorists, and other public safety threats from our country.
