Secretary Mullin Meets with CBP and TSA Personnel in Alaska WASHINGTON – On Monday, United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Markwayne Mullin met with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) personnel at a cargo screening facility in Anchorage, Alaska, then met with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) workers at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. “Yesterday I had the privilege of meeting with the men and women of CBP and TSA in Anchorage, Alaska, and got to see firsthand the work that they do every day,” said Secretary Mullin. “Our DHS personnel are on the frontlines of stopping illicit drugs and illegal goods from entering our country and harming our citizens. It is an honor to lead this department and our more than 260,000 employees, and I will always fight for them and provide any support I can to make their jobs easier.” Secretary Mullin tours a CBP cargo screening facility in Anchorage, Alaska During the tour of the CBP cargo screening facility in Anchorage, Secretary Mullin observed cargo screening processes and received a briefing on seizure statistics. Secretary Mullin meets with TSA personnel, including a TSA K-9, at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport At the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, Secretary Mullin met with Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) and TSA leadership, and discussed the biggest priorities in providing support for remote airports. Last week, Secretary Mullin toured the southern border in Brownsville, Texas, then met with ICE personnel at an ICE office in Florence, Colorado, followed by a tour of the Olympic training facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
