Dinosaur National Monument

From Dinosaur National Monument:

It takes a lot of people to pull off an event like the Symphony Performance. Monument staff are joined by Symphony staff and volunteers, Utah State Highway Patrol, Uintah County Sheriffs Department and many
others.

From Harry S Truman National Historic Site:

Then & Now
The Truman Home of the 1950s meets the Truman Home of today. The fence was installed in 1949. You can also see the decorative slate roof that would be replaced in the 1960s. One thing that hasn't changed is the onlookers!

National Fall Hat Month

From Eisenhower National Historic Site:

It’s September and here at Eisenhower NHS we’re celebrating National Fall Hat Month! Ike was a prodigious hat wearer as most men were back in his era. He had his golf hats, fishing hats, farming hats, barbecuing hats, presidential hats, and just plain, everyday I’m-going-out-in-public hats. Ike may well have had practical reasons for wearing a hat – to keep his bald head from getting cold or sunburned. But he surely would have worn one even if he had a full head of hair. Hats were in style. “Once every man wore a hat,” as Billy Collins (U.S. Poet Laureate 2001-03) reminds us in the first line of his poem, The Death of the Hat.

Apostle Islands National Lakeshore

From Apostle Islands National Lakeshore:

Wind and waves aren’t the only weather conditions to keep in mind when paddling in the Apostles. Heavy fog can turn even a short paddle into a long and dangerous crossing if you lose sight of your destination and don’t know your directions. Always carry a compass, map, navigation charts and weather radio with you when heading out on the lake. #safetysaturday

Adorable Baby American Bison

From U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Mountain-Prairie Region:

This adorable baby American bison was seen in mid-August at National Bison Refuge in #Montana. The little fella will have to beef up fast for the winter. Fortunately, bison grow quickly, so this late bloomer should be just fine. Adults can weigh 1000 to 2000 pounds! Learn more about conservation of this iconic mammal: http://bit.ly/2uRhsOp
